I started my journey as a wedding hair and makeup artist in December 2011.
I discovered a passion and natural eye for hair and makeup purely by chance. Fast-forward 8 years and I've had the absolute pleasure of joining over 400 brides on the morning of their wedding.
It may be that mine isn't the first website you've visited in your quest to find an artist.
I'm not going to tell you how I love nothing more than making people look fabulous (which I truly do) or about the vast array of beautiful brands I like to use (those which give the best results), as I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time you've read this. Instead, I thought I would use this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about my style to help you find out if I'm the right wedding makeup artist and hair stylist for you.
Radiant
It might come as a surprise but I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis myself, just like a lot of my brides. Fresh glowing skin, with a natural flush is always my favourite for bridal makeup. I'm a big fan of skincare, which is almost as important as the makeup itself in creating a healthy glow. I don't believe in makeup just for the camera - it should also feel good on your skin.
Natural
Your hair is your crown, and should feel totally comfortable whilst still being secure. Nobody wants a headache half way through their wedding day! Styling products should be invisible in the hair to give a 'done but undone' effect, with beautiful texture and a healthy shine. I believe in letting natural curls be curls, with just a little taming and styling.
Enhanced
Makeup should never be worn as a mask. I enjoy using it to bring out someone's best features. I want people to look at you and say "you look beautiful" rather than "your makeup looks beautiful" - even though it most certainly will! From 'no makeup' makeup, to something more polished and glamorous, makeup should always look natural and effortless, especially on your wedding day.
